Editorial - TypeTree

A brief set by the International Society of Typographic  Designers. I chose the brief: Biophilia. The task being to create a typographic piece of work that reconnects people to nature, especially those who do not have direct access to it. I made a series of typefaces that took inspiration from the features and appearances of trees. Displayed in a type specimen with descriptions of the anatomy of type, compared to the anatomy of trees it playfully describes how the typefaces came to be.
